    Adrian Field, Partner, Perscitus LLP

    Adrian joined Perscitus in 2015. Prior to this he led the technology deal teams for several high-profile Family Office investors since 2012 having worked at Truffle Capital (leading VC investor in the European markets) since 2006 where he was jointly responsible for the Energy and Cleantech portfolio. Before this he worked at 3i in the Growth Capital team since 2005. Before turning to finance, he began his career as an engineer in various high-tech industries including submarine control systems and was on the core team for the EU hydrogen fuel cell bus program at Excellsis (acquired by Ballard Power Systems) where the company grew from 30 people to over 200 in 2 years.

    Arlene Adams, Founder, Peppermint Technology

    Arlene has 25 years’ experience in the global tech market. She has held multiple CEO & board leadership positions across a wide range of organisations from start-ups to a $1 billion global tech company. Arlene is the founder of Peppermint Technology - the first vendor to bring a SaaS ERP solution to the UK legal market. She raised private capital to start the business and in December 2015 raised over £10 million from Private Equity to support the future growth of Peppermint. Arlene has worked in several PE and VC backed businesses at various stages of growth and investment.

    Mick Crosthwaite, Executive Chairman, HAS Technology Group

    Mick Crosthwaite is an entrepreneur and experienced board director. Mick is currently Executive Chair of, PE backed, HAS Technology Group, which provides monitoring technology for Older Adult homecare in UK, Australia and New Zealand. Prior to this Mick led the transformation of Bluebell Group from a simple telecoms reseller to an award winning national provider of SaaS cloud based call management solutions over ten years. During this time he completed six acquisitions funded through combinations of senior debt, mezzanine and equity. The company was successfully sold in March 2016 to NASDAQ listed J2 Global, generating significant returns for shareholders. Mick has a passion for adventure and is a former Special Forces Soldier. He was part of the British Everest Expedition in 1998 with Bear Grylls reaching the South summit, 100m below the summit. He also made a North Atlantic crossing from Canada to Scotland in an open inflatable boat.

    Richard Court, Investment Director, Octopus Investments

    Richard joined Octopus in 2017 and is responsible for originating and transacting new investments, monitoring portfolio companies and fundraising for the Intermediate Capital team. He has debt and equity investment experience across a wide range of sectors and business sizes. Before joining Octopus, Richard spent 2 years with TPG’s direct lending fund and 5 years at RJD Partners, a UK-focused Private Equity fund. He also worked at Dresdner Kleinwort in the Debt Principal Finance group. He qualified as a chartered accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and holds a degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Birmingham.

    Stephen Fahy, Senior Director, Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank

    Stephen is a Senior Director in the Growth Finance team at Clydesdale Bank. The Growth Finance team provides non-dilutive funding to high growth scale-up companies, structuring innovative and flexible debt packages of up to £10m. Stephen is a Chartered Accountant, who trained at BDO in Dublin, and has a BBS and a MA from Trinity College Dublin, where he studied Business and Economics. He transferred to BDO's Corporate Finance team in London in 2008, completing numerous mid-market transactions before joining Clydesdale Bank in 2012. Away from work, Stephen is a keen sports fan (including golf, rugby, football, tennis and athletics) and a big music fan (he is a guitarist).
