Information about us

This website (g.grantthornton.co.uk or the Site) is provided by Grant Thornton UK LLP, a limited liability partnership in accordance with the Limited Liability Partnerships Act 2000 (with registered number OC307742 and registered office at 30 Finsbury Square, London, London EC2A 1AG). We are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority for designated investment business.

Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (together with the documents referred to in it) set out the basis on which you may make use of the Site, whether as a guest or a registered user. Use of the Site includes accessing, browsing, or registering to use the Site.

By using the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with these Terms of Use then you are not authorised to use or access this Site.


In these Terms of Use the following words shall have the following meanings:

– “G” and “Grant Thornton” refers to Grant Thornton UK LLP and “we“, “our” and “us” will be construed accordingly.

– “You” refers to the user who uses the Site subject to these Terms of Use and “your” will be construed accordingly.

Grant Thornton will endeavour to ensure the information we hold will be accurate and up to date. We will use any information you give us in line with the law on data protection. This means we will make sure you know how we are going to use your information, and who it may be shared with/shown to.

Some of your information may be shared with our sub-contractors on a confidential basis and subject to the same level of data protection obligations as apply between you and us. Not all sub-contractors are located within the European Economic Area (“EEA”), therefore, your information may be transferred outside the EEA.  You consent to such transfers, provided that we ensure appropriate safeguards, as required by Data Protection Legislation (as defined in our Privacy Policy), are in place before any transfer.

Confidential Information

Grant Thornton shall keep all information created or received in connection with your registration to access the Site, and where applicable any information you provide Grant Thornton as part of checking your eligibility and/or applying for a Grant Thornton service, confidential and shall not (without your consent) disclose it to any third party nor use it for purposes other than in connection with the Site[insert] and efficient administration of our client relationships. This obligation shall not apply to information that is:

(a) published or is in the public domain otherwise than due to a breach of these Terms of Use;

(b) lawfully known to us before commencement of the Services;

You acknowledge that all copyright, trademarks, database rights and all other intellectual property rights in the Content shall remain vested in us or our licensors. Your use of any software that is made available to download from the Site or via any hyperlink contained on the Site (“Software“) is governed by the terms of the end user license agreement, if any, which accompanies or is included with the Software (“Licence Agreement“). You may not install, copy or use any Software that is accompanied by or includes a Licence Agreement unless you first agree to the terms of such Licence Agreement.

All title, copyrights and other intellectual property subsisting in or on this Site or in any artwork connected with the Site belong to us and will remain our property at all times – unless otherwise stated.

You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from the Site for your business’s use and you may draw the attention of others within your organisation to Content posted on the Site.

Security of your account and password

Any Content you upload to our Site will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. Force Majeure

We shall have no liability to you under the Terms of Use if we are prevented from or delayed in performing our obligations under this agreement by matters, circumstances, acts, events, omissions or accidents beyond our reasonable control including (without limitation) strikes, lock-outs or other industrial disputes (whether involving our workforce or any other party), failure of a utility service or transport or telecommunications network or the internet, unexpected system downtime , act of God, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage, compliance with any law or governmental order, rule, regulation or direction, accident, breakdown of plant or machinery, fire, flood, storm or default of suppliers or sub-contractors.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

The Terms of Use are governed by English law and both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.


We may terminate your use of the Site at any time with immediate effect. On termination of the Terms of Use, all rights granted to the you under the Terms of Use will cease immediately.


Any failure or delay by us in exercising our rights under any provisions of the Terms of Use will not be construed as a waiver of those rights.

The Terms of Use supersede all prior agreements and understandings between the parties concerning its subject matter, constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and can only be varied in writing.

Your statutory rights are not affected at all by these Terms of Use.

If any part of the Terms of Use is proven to be invalid, unenforceable or illegal, the other provisions will remain in force.

The Terms of Use shall not be assigned or otherwise transferred in whole or in part by you.

Nothing in the Terms of Use will be construed as creating a partnership, joint venture or agency relationship between the parties.

The Terms of Use do not create or confer any rights on third parties under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 (as may be amended or replaced).
