Grant Thornton signs Covenant in support of Armed Forces Community

Leading financial advisory firm Grant Thornton UK LLP today announces that it has signed the Armed Forces Covenant in support and recognition of the contribution that Service personnel, reservists, veterans, the cadet movement and military families make to our country.

The Covenant reaffirms Grant Thornton’s position as an Armed Forces friendly organisation and outlines its commitment to uphold the Covenant’s key principles.  These include ensuring members of the Armed Forces Community employed by Grant Thornton are not disadvantaged for having served but can use that experience to benefit our people and clients, supporting employees who choose to be members of the Reserve Forces and championing the benefits of employing serving and former Armed Forces personnel.

Will McWilliams, Partner and Head of Public Services at Grant Thornton UK LLP said:

“Recognising those who have performed military duty in service of our country demonstrates the enormous value of their contribution.  Those who serve in the Armed Forces, Regular or Reserve, those who have served in the past, and their families, should face no disadvantage.  We are proud to be an armed-forces friendly organisation, and to offer workplace policies that are aligned to wider goals to be a flexible and inclusive employer, ensuring fair treatment of all our people.”
