I deliver expertise-led, insightful assurance services to a wide range of public and private sector clients.
I lead the Project and Programme Assurance specialism in our Business Risk Services practice, supporting organisations that are seeking to deliver change through projects and programmes. My priority is adding value through an expertise-driven approach – informative, credible assurance outcomes that increase delivery confidence and manage emerging risks.
My 30+ years' experience includes leadership roles in multi-disciplinary, international architecture and engineering design practice, and environment, industrial ecology, and sustainability. I also bring strong sector-specific experience in defence and security, nuclear, infrastructure, and construction to the assurance work I deliver for our clients.
I spent a large part of 2021 on secondment to the UK’s Nuclear Decommissioning Authority as Interim Head of Assurance for its Corporate Centre, Waste, and Transport Divisions. I’ve also gained valuable experience as an Interim Senior Civil Servant in the Ministry of Defence, as the Defence Infrastructure Organisation’s Head of Accommodation Strategy, and I’ve led the delivery of a government-funded, UK-wide industrial symbiosis programme. I have an ongoing interest in sustainability and industrial ecology, and I’ve co-authored an academic paper on industrial symbiosis networks.
When not at work I like to spend time with my family, including our (too many) dogs, and out in the fresh air managing our smallholding. I'm a keen photographer and cook, and I enjoy road cycling, golf, and music.
