I'm a director in the UK transaction tax team, specialising in providing pragmatic and commercial transaction tax advice to private equity funds and large corporate groups.
I focus on buy-side and sell-side tax due diligence services, tax structuring support (on both platform investments and bolt-ons), sale and purchase agreement tax advisory, and advice on other tax matters, which arise on or as a result of a transaction.
I also deliver our portfolio value creation service, which supports private equity-backed businesses with transactions, from buy-in through to exit. I work closely with new management teams to help them navigate the nuances of a PE-investment, capture value-add opportunities (including bolt-on strategy support) and ensure they're ready for future diligence.
A key experience in my career was a secondment to cover the Head of Tax function at a leading mid-market private equity fund, where my responsibilities included providing tax advice, transactional support, and tax sign-off to the fund’s investment, finance, and legal teams.
The experience and insight I gained from this is reflected in every aspect of advice I provide to my clients.
Outside of work, I'm a keen spin and gym addict, enjoy spending my weekends exploring the best pubs South West London has to offer and (for better or worse!) I'm an avid England rugby fan.
